Video Game Design
First real Level design in Unity Lava Run Game
This is a level I designed for a class at the University of Baltimore. It was the first time I had ever used unity and was able to implement my own quickly designed assets and met the requirements for the assignment . I learned how to import and implement assets in unity through this project. I also, used some modular design to speed up the process. Its a very simple 3D plat former sandbox game made more for functional purposes and less for its aesthetics.
CardBoard Carnage Senior Capstone Project UB

This is Card Board Carnage a Game I developed with 2 other students at the university of Baltimore. I was in charge of over looking the whole project. I helped both my partners to get through their development fazes and the inevitable crunch we were going to run into as the second semester came to a end. I 3D modeled more then half the game But the rest of the characters, assets and 2D art were done by my partner John. I rigged and animated all the characters. I had to import all the assets into Unity. Developed many of the c# code's that my coder and story writer Chris added onto. The game needs to be re-coded so the characters walk smoother and the game can't be over loaded by player input. But the rest of the game makes me very happy. I broke my femur at a friends house during development and I continued working even with a broken leg. It was hard to do my work and help my partners at that time and they fell behind on their work. After my leg healed I helped them pull threw the project with some minor issues still lingering in the game but I felt we all learned a lot.

These are the characters i designed, 3d modeled, textured, rigged and animated in 3Ds Max.
flip through the images to see the image documentation of the development. John 3D modeled strong box, smiles, kitty litter, half of pizza monster and box turtle which are very nicely done.i would of changed the shell of box turtle myself to cardboard. I then put his 5 models from Maya into 3Ds max to work with the polly count an design so they could be rigged and animated in 3Ds max for Unity. I was also did most of the texturing of the characters and eventually the levels.
I set up all the bones ,rigged all the characters and animated all the characters in 3DS Max. All the characters have the same base movements that match their body type, style and movements. You can see all the types of movements I animated for each character in the beaties video above it does not include all the characters just all the types of animations each character got.

These are the six levels based on and designed after the background story's of the characters. 2 other levels were planned but were cut due to time restraints. I completely did the the top 4 level designs an textured the cat tower level that john 3D modeled.
this project never saw the light of day it had some problems in the coding that needed to be worked out the game ran well except for a input overload issue that would exit matches if some one was going crazy with the button pushing on the controller. Chris the third member of the team came up with the idea of the game an slowly learned coding during the project this created some interesting issues every week. John was a great artist but was a little slow an rather have done a 3D game in the first place. this game was made over 8 months or so an i broke my leg in the middle of the project. i continued to work an get my stuff done on time which even impressed myself. Card board carnage was a very ambitious project from 2 not so motivated an one very motivated member for a college capstone project all three of us passed. We made a great game for the time we had an should of done a lot of things different but it was a great learning experience.
Creature loose in the dark lab

This particular game was designed and tested by visually impaired video game players. This was one of my favorite project I ever did in school. this project was also developed at the same time as cardboard carnage not exactly how I wanted things to go but that's how it went. As a disabled game designer I've always planed on one day helping out other disabled video game players gain access to more video games. A Blind individual with the Maryland visual impaired came in and play tested the game. He individually sat down with each student and helped us better develop the games for visually impaired gamer's. The game is a complete blank screen with hidden obstacles to any potential player. A narrative sets up the story and environment. The player has sound ques of bumping into objects to help the player navigate the area in the pitch black. As the player is being run down by a monster.

images of the game in unity and a picture of people play testing the game during a open game night at the University of Baltimore for senior projects. Where I showed off both this game and CardBoard Carnage it seemed like a lot of people enjoyed what I had developed.
Board Game: Lost but Not Forgotten
This is a board game I developed with a partner named Brandon. Brandon wrote the story and developed the concept. I just made the game come to life with my art. this was for a class and it was printed and mounted to card board, the game board was large and the stacks of double sided cards I made were thick. This was a well designed game for the rules we had to follow. we had to develop a game about conflict without any combat. Therefore we developed a game about a civilian medic caught up in the middle of WWII.
